Athens Creative Theatre Founded over 30 years ago, the Athens Creative Theatre (ACT) presents well-known shows and original works by local artists. Quinn Hall, the new home of ACT, was dedicated in December 2004. The lovely space is part of an award-winning historic preservation project.

The State Botanical Garden Of Georgia, 2450 South Milledge Ave. This 313-acre preserve features trails that wind to the garden's farthest boundaries, a stunning three-story tropical conservatory, and gardens showcasing native and international flora. Also on the grounds: the lovely Day Chapel and the headquarters of the Garden Club of Georgia. Gift shop and Café Trumps at the Garden.
Memorial Park And Bear Hollow Wildlife Trail 293 Gran Ellen Dr. Experience 80 acres of rolling hills, a lake, picnic shelters, walking trails, playground area, and a small zoo (Bear Hollow Wildlife Trail). Resident animals include black bears, bobcats, white-tailed deer, river otters, owls, and over 120 species of wild, free-living animals.
